Why do LED floodlight manufacturers carry out two optical designs for their LED floodlights?

One of the characteristics of led floodlights is that the chip is very small. Even if the led flood light is packaged, the light-emitting surface is very small compared with the fluorescent lamp, and its brightness is relatively high. Looking closely at the distance is so dizzying it hurts the eyes.

However, when it is used as a lighting source, the led flood light is usually hung at a relatively high position. With a proper grille panel, people will not feel uncomfortable and hurt when looking at the camera for a short period of time. Moreover, people usually don’t look directly at the led flood light. Lifting their head inadvertently will also eliminate their eyes. So, for its “glare”, don’t overemphasize that this has to do with lighting design standards.

LED floodlights not only save electricity, but also have good illumination and no heat dissipation. They are suitable for multiple headlights. Most of the led floodlights are standard screws, and the chandelier has two calibers, one of which is standard and can be used with led floodlights; the other is non-standard and cannot be used with led floodlights. Be careful when choosing: LED floodlights are mostly non-energy-saving products.

Safety principle: It is necessary to choose LED floodlights from regular floodlight manufacturers. Regular products are marked with a total load. According to the total load, the number of wattage LED floodlights used can be determined, especially for multi-head LED floodlights, that is, each lamp head × wattage = total load.

LED floodlight manufacturers’ LED floodlight components generally need two optical designs before they become lighting products:

The primary optical design is the design carried out when LED IC is packaged into LED optoelectronic components, in order to solve the range and distribution of LED light output angle, light intensity, luminous flux size, light intensity distribution, and color temperature;

The secondary optical design is to pass the light after the primary lens through an optical lens to change its optical performance. (The secondary optical design is for high-power LED floodlights. Generally, high-power LEDs have a primary lens with a luminous angle of about 120 degrees.)

We must clearly realize that primary optical design is the basis of secondary optical design. Only when the primary optical design package is reasonable and can guarantee the light output quality of each LED lighting component, can the secondary optical design be carried out on the basis of the primary optical design to ensure the light output quality of the entire lighting system. Simply put, the purpose of the primary optical design is to extract as much light as possible from the LED chip; the purpose of the secondary optical design is to make the light emitted by the entire lighting system meet the design requirements.
